| Hmm how to explain Mr Larson? Let’s see imagine The Eagles meet Dan Fogelberg. A gifted singer song writer his Southern California sound is highly recommended.
Jeff Larson is a singer/songwriter born (3/5/63) and raised in the San Francisco bay area of California. His is a musical body of work that has always been focused on rich lyrical content and unique melody. Larson's sound is also one that is rooted in his personal and geographical surroundings... his first solo CD was released in 1995 entitled "Upper Story Landing. Signed to a small Holland based label, his next release was "Beggars" in 1997 (Performing Songwriter's TOP 12 independent releases August-1998) followed by the archival release "Redheads and Woodpeckers" (Demos from 1990-93). Larson honed his solo performing skills by becoming an opening act for such artists as legendary singer/songwriter John Stewart (Daydream Believer), the group America (Sister Golden Hair, Ventura Highway, etc), and songwriter Tonio K. He has toured Northern Europe and the West Coast extensively and continues to play locally in California and beyond. In 1997 Jeff sought a change in direction to focus on his more more pop / rock leanings.
Fragile Sunrise is his latest offering. If you think that is good wait to you hear the material he is currently working on
Wood & Steel (Taylor Guitars): "Larson's melodies sparkle, rise, and fall, not a note wasted or a phrase out of place. In some cases, his lyrics glimmer like reflections on the moving surface of the sea, thus suggesting poetic impressions of the subject matter, rather than making prosaic, obvious statements." … A classic combination of sound and sensibilities, and Larson gives it his own contemporary spin.
